Cole and I have always wanted to learn how to dance but with our schedules it never seemed feasible. I work as both an engineer and a spin instructor and Cole works out of town most of the week as an engineer. When he is home we prefer to spend our time together intentionally, not in crowded spaces or on someone else’s schedule.
The at home program made sense for us. It removed the logistical issues like commuting, coordinating with class times, or worrying about dress codes. We could start and stop as needed, repeat sections until they felt precise, and focus on incremental improvements.
As someone who likes structure, I appreciated how the lessons were broken down into manageable parts. It was easy to identify where we were making errors and correct them without guessing. Over time the mechanics became second nature and we could shift our attention to timing and connection.
The result is that dancing now feels natural and we can execute full sequences without thinking through every step. For us this was not just about learning to dance, it was about creating a system that worked within our constraints and still delivered results. If you want to learn but think your schedule will not allow it, this approach removes that barrier entirely.
